Holiday Inn , is a 5 star property located in Delhi,Mayur Vihar. It has the facility of luxurious suites, swimming pool, spa-salon, restaurants and all the other basic amenities which a 5 star property should have.
I love having gourmet dining experiences and recently I visited Cafe on 3, the casual dining restaurant by Holiday Inn.

Tiny spheres of ripe water melon, skewered with fresh mozzarella cheese are dipped in honey , lemon and olive oil dressing which adds flavours to this delicate dish in right amount.
Soul of this recipe is it’s simplicity. All you want to taste is the sweetness of melon and freshness of cheese when you take a bite. Dressing just helps to combine the flavours and enhance the aroma.
As soon as you take a bite into it , you can feel the water melon juices mixing with stringy mozerella which almost feels like nature’s candy.

Sushi is a very popular east asian delicacy which is traditionally made with seafood. Most of the people believe that sushi can only taste good if it is made the traditional way. Vegan Sushi served here totally changed my perception. It was vegan and it was delicious!
Vegan version of Sushi is made with choice of vegetables wrapped in Japanese/sushi rice rolls and topped with nori sheets. Vegetables adds the flavour and color, sushi rice adds the body and texture and nori sheets adds the crunch. It is best served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. These have sweet and sour flavours with a pungent after taste. Some vegan sushi varieties which are very popular are:
- Nasu Nigiri
- Avocado Nigiri
- Kappa Maki
- Shinko Maki/ Takuan Maki
- Kampyo Maki
- Ume, Cucumber Shiso Makizushi
I prefer Kappa Maki and Avocado Nigri. I also had some thepla and mirch achar which is a gujarati dish (you can see that in my plate) because I could not stop myself from trying all the delicious food which was right in front of me. I know thepla with Sushi is a weird combo, but trust me you need to try it all when you are a food lover. (wink)
I was so full after having this, that I decided to head over desserts section.

I have a special desire to try all the western style desserts. Dessert section was filled with variety of pastries, pies and tarts. All in different vibrant colors were super welcoming to eyes. Some were topped with red cherries, some with green kiwi, and others with chocolate, caramel and banana. This beautiful site would make any one drool over these desserts.
The first dessert I had was banana caramel cake slice. Soft vanilla cake slices were topped with caramel sauce and thin banana slices. Cake was as soft as an airy sponge is. Same was with the mango pastry. Super soft vanilla cake loaded with whipped cream and fresh mango slices can take anyone to heaven at the very first bite.
Mini Rajbhog is something from the Indian desserts section but I have a special place in my heart for it. This is my mother’s favourite dessert and I am having this since my childhood days.
My experience at this place was very good. Food was delicious and customer service is top notch. This is a 24 hours open restaurant and you may visit any time but I would recommend going at night because vibe is quite special at that time. Sitting beside the pool option is available as well, and if the weather is good you should definitely go for it. Terrace pool is right next to this restaurant and you get a view of it while enjoy delicious meal.
